Wikileaks Drops the Big One (via Sky Dancing)

I don’t know what to think about this massive release of secret and embarrassing State Department cables leaked by Wikileaks. I feel that this is going to jeopardize many people and puts the US in a bad, bad light. Not so much for the stuff that is said in the memos and cables, cause even though it is not too polite and is gossipy, the opinions of these foreign players really is not the issue. I bet the stuff said about these people is common knowledge among the foreign political community.  I think that main focus and real problem with the leaks, is that the US security let the documents be hacked into and this is what’s going to hurt us the most. Who the hell is going to trust us now? All these leaks are proof that security of  State Secrets is laughable. That someone was able to release this stuff, boggles my mind. How on earth did these get leaked…I do not think it was this Manning dude all alone. My concern is with the real meat of these cables…that stuff about secret deals and corruption. Corruption that seems to be widely know, but ignored. Anyway, all of this makes me think of that Seinfeld episode, The Doodle:

Kramer: Well it’s a story about love, deception, greed, lust and…unbridled enthusiasm.

Elaine: unbridled enthusiasm…?

Kramer: Well , that’s what led to Billy Mumphrey’s downfall.

Elaine: Oh! boy.

Kramer: You see Elaine, Billy was a simple country boy. You might say a cockeyed optimist,

who got himself mixed up in the high stakes game of world diplomacy and international intrigue.

Yes…Wikileaks, what led to the United States Foreign Policy downfall…for what it is worth, here is a bunch of links about the leak. I want to keep this handy for future reference. One thing is for certain, all these docs and memos and cables are a wealth of inspiration for my Crocodile Deliverance story….

Wikileaks Drops the Big One Newspapers around the world are dropping the latest Wikileaks documents.  The site itself is inaccessible but its tweets say that it is not under attack of any kind. We’ll be adding to this post as links become available. This overview was just put up by Huffpo. The New York Times and The Guardian have published classified State Department documents provided to them by the online website WikiLeaks. The WikiLeaks website appeared to be inaccessibl … Read More

Go ahead…make your move!

This is my attempt to work through my thoughts and ideals…so if you get offended or do not agree with me, I am sorry...that's your opinion and I am glad that you have it! This undertaking is my own. I write this blog for me alone, and it's not meant to persuade anyone. Just because I link it, does not mean I completely agree with it…It just means I read these articles and form my own opinions. This blog is my way of giving myself a proper flogging about the head and shoulders. It is a form of self-torture that I must work out.

"When you stumble, keep faith. And when you're knocked down, get right back up and never listen to anyone who says you can't or shouldn't go on." -Hillary Rodham Clinton

"There is a special place in hell for women who don't help other women." - Madeleine Albright

Hillary Rodham Clinton

“I supported Hillary because she was the best candidate, because she was a woman, and because I am a woman. Women’s rights, women’s voices, women’s representation, women’s causes, and the fact that she was a smart populist woman instead of another empty suit — yes, absolutely, all reasons I supported Hillary Clinton.” -Wonk the Vote

Hillary’s Quotes

"We are here to advance the cause of women and to advance the cause of democracy and to make it absolutely clear that the two are inseparable. There cannot be true democracy unless women's voices are heard. There cannot be true democracy unless women are given the opportunity to take responsibility for their own lives."

"Take criticism seriously, but not personally. If there is truth or merit in the criticism, try to learn from it. Otherwise, let it roll right off you."

"The challenge is to practice politics as the art of making what appears to be impossible, possible."

"What we have to do... is to find a way to celebrate our diversity and debate our differences without fracturing our communities."

"We need to understand that there is no formula for how women should lead their lives. That is why we must respect the choices that each woman makes for herself and her family. Every woman deserves the chance to realize her God-given potential."

"It is a violation of human rights when babies are denied food, or drowned, or suffocated, or their spines broken, simply because they are born girls.

It is a violation of human rights when women and girls are sold into the slavery of prostitution.

It is a violation of human rights when women are doused with gasoline, set on fire and burned to death because their marriage dowries are deemed too small.

It is a violation of human rights when individual women are raped in their own communities and when thousands of women are subjected to rape as a tactic or prize of war.

It is a violation of human rights when a leading cause of death worldwide among women ages 14 to 44 is the violence they are subjected to in their own homes.

It is a violation of human rights when young girls are brutalized by the painful and degrading practice of genital mutilation.

It is a violation of human rights when women are denied the right to plan their own families, and that includes being forced to have abortions or being sterilized against their will.

If there is one message that echoes forth from this conference, it is that human rights are women's rights - and women's rights are human rights. Let us not forget that among those rights are the right to speak freely - and the right to be heard." (from 'Women's Rights Are Human Rights' Speech Beijing, China: 5 September 1995)
